I have a total of 6.5 years of work experience at sea, including 3.5 years as a coast guard officer, 1.5 years as a marine electrician on Bore cargo vessels, and work as a deckhand and marine electrician with Saariston Meritie.

On the cargo vessels, my work as a marine electrician included the maintenance of all electrical systems on board. My duties involved fault finding and repairs, reading electrical schematics, cable installation, installing new equipment, lighting maintenance, preventive maintenance, and recording maintenance work in the vessel’s maintenance system.

At Saariston Meritie, my main role was as a deckhand on the icebreaker Sampo and the oil spill response vessel Grisslan. My duties included a wide range of deck work, such as painting, handling and maintaining mooring lines, and keeping the vessel ready for oil spill response operations. I also carried out electrical maintenance and repairs whenever needed.
