For most of my career, I have worked in logistics, from warehouses at the Finnish media group Sanoma and the large retail group Kesko to the largest logistics center of the Finnish Post. I worked there for almost 20 years, with tasks ranging from basic sorting to supervising the automatic barcode reading process.

For the past four years, I have worked at the Finnish railway company VR Group as a conductor on commuter lines in and around Helsinki. The work has been very varied. Many people think the job is mainly checking tickets and travel documents, but customer service has been the most central and rewarding part of the work—helping people reach their destination safely. Safety is the number one priority in everything we do.
